The HTC Evo 4G (codenamed Supersonic)[2], is a smartphone developed by the HTC Corporation, that was announced on 23 March 2010 and expected to be released in early summer of the same year. It is powered by a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and runs the Android operating system, version 2.1. It includes a TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen screen, an 8-megapixel camera in the rear and a 1.3-megapixel camera in the front. The Android operating system is able to take advantage of the video circuitry onboard the Snapdragon processor, enabling the device to capture and playback video at high-definition 720p resolution. The device will be able to connect to Sprint's growing network of 4G access points which utilize WiMAX technology to enable high speed Internet connectivity with download speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G speeds[3]. This will provide users of the device with the ability to download music, pictures, files, or videos in seconds instead of minutes, as well as the ability to watch streaming high-quality HD video on the go. The device also includes built-in support for creating mobile hotspot on demand, allowing up to eight Wi-Fi-enabled devices to connect to it and utilize Sprint's 4G network while on the go.

The Smartphone also includes a front facing camera presumably used for video calls an other video streaming uses.
